Services for Job Seekers

Through WorkForce Diversity we help job seekers with:

Career Assessment
WorkForce Diversity staff can help determine a job-seeker's specific abilities, interests and attitudes. Written summaries of the testing will be provided to help determine what goals and objectives might be set.

Community Based Work Evaluation
A WorkForce Diversity staff member can go with the job-seeker to determine his/her ability to tolerate the work, stamina and attitude. This hands on evaluation can help predict future success at the job.

Job Search Skills Development
WorkForce Diversity staff can teach job search skills including networking, job prospecting, completing applications, reference development, resume development, and self- presentation. Interview experiences with feedback are also provided.

Job Readiness Activities
Educational activities are offered to help job-seekers deal with the working world. Hands-on presentations talk about money management/budgeting, stress management, parenting skills, work adjustment/self presentation, and goal setting/time management.

Resume Development and Review
WorkForce Diversity can help job seekers develop a high impact resume that profiles achievements, experience and talents and write appropriate cover letters.

In addition, job placement services are available at WorkForce Diversity. Our staff can help job seekers obtain and keep employment in the community.
